Title: Flagstaff,northern AZ events

Too bad Flag or some other northern city doesn't have any big summer events that we could get a cook-off at.When it is 112 deg in Phoenix it would be nice for a weekend to get out of here and do some competing.I have heard Flagstaff is pretty uncooperative in getting events like this ,but I wonder about other areas.

Tim,

We are actually in talks with a few places.  Problem is, most of them have fire restrictions due to the heat and that makes it tough to plan an event. 

Even the privately owned places face similar restrictions with propane only requirements.

Hopefully we can get something worked out as I agree, it would be great to have something up North during the summer months.
