Have we heard from the AZ Hombrewers Society yet? Our joint Oktoberfest should be coming up next month.
-
I heard the event was the first weekend in October this year. Same weekend as the Royal.
-
The ASH event is beyond awesome if you're a beer fan. There is no way I'll miss that event this year.

You're not going to the Royal?
-
No. I wish but we've done way more contests this year than what I had planned. My boss is starting to get stingy with giving me time off so I didn't even ask. We thought long and hard about it but decided to gamble on getting the Jack draw. For the Royal you have to have your information in by the 31st, which is the same day as the draw, so it makes it hard if you know you can only do one. Right now for AZ teams I believe David (Boo Bash) has one bung, Tom and Paul (Pan Can) have one, and Bekke and I (Surprise & N. AZ) have two. The fingers are crossed. Hard.

Good luck to ya Scott and Bekke you guys would be a great rep for Az.
-
Scott, good luck my friend. I'm sure you can have my spot as the brat griller if you want it at the ASH event.
-
Wait, are you going to the Royal?
I'll be doing brisket again this year. I love cooking that stuff. Grilling brats is hot, greasy, and I tend to singe a lot of arm hair.

Don't forget about Tracey of Fork U BBQ, our GC from the Freedom RV event in Tucson, that was a qualifier as well.

That sounds like a good event, love San Tan brews. Having some Count Hoppula IPA slim kegs delivered today. One for the restaurant (After the Mr. Pineapple is gone) and one for the kegerator at home. That reminds me, I have to clean the lines to get ready. Yum

I go back every year for two weeks, go to the Royal and spend time with friends. I go to visit, eat, and drink.
