A new and exciting Ribfest is coming to the South Georgian Bay region of Ontario. 'Smokin for Gold' sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society will be held in The Blue Mountains, July 8-10, 2011.
If you are a backyard enthusiast or competitive smokemaster this is one event you do not want to miss. There is over $8,000 in prize moneyand one of the best titles and bragging rights to ever come to Ontario. "Clarksburg-Thornbury National BBQ Championship" . The BBQ Competition is an enhancement to the long running T-C Rotary Tolbert Sanctioned Chili Cookoff now in its 27th year. www.tcrotary.ca/chili . As well a Whole Hog Competition is being sponsored by the CSBBQA and our venue for the weekend, Cedar Run Horse Park is hosting the Equine Canada Gold sanctioned Hunter Jumper Showcase.
To create an overall amazing fun weekend we have a full line up of musicians for the stage with Fathead Blues Band and Trooper as the headliners for Friday and Saturday night.
