I was just wondering if there is any reason we have to make the camping location all the way out by Sho Low when we all live in Phoenix and there are lots of good places on the rim, especially with the gas prices and all   ??? :o :o

Me thinks all the rim lakes have group camp areas too??? Not sure if you could get one this late in the game though... Congratts Bear & Bearass on the BBQ Venture... That vending can take it's toll though... you know there is a formula for figuring how many will buy out of a group of 500 right?   If you are the only vendor that jacks the percentage greatly..I'd like to give you any advice i can that may be helpful Bear. But, I'd prefer to do it off-line  send me an email with any questions or give me a call.
Granted we suck at vending but there are a lot of people out there that do very well for themselves.

PS When you all figure out this camping stuff let me know. If we are not catering we will be there.

August 1st-3rd is coming up. It might be a good idea for those planning on coming to make your reservations for campsites soon. (928) 537-3680 is the number for the campground.

What is the exact camping ground that we're going to?  Does anyone have reservations yet so we could maybe get near each other?

We are going to try and get our spot at bald eagle. It's the closest area near the RV sites

I am going to need a head count. I went fishing last week and stopped to yank a few trout out of little bear and big bear lakes. I talked with the camp host and he can put every one in one spot, bring extra picnic tables...whatever we need. There is no electrical hook ups, but there is a fresh water spring at the enterance. The fish are easy to catch and the crawfish are easier and BIG. The camp host said he would even help catch some crawfish and hang out for a drink. It is $6/day for fishing and $8/day for camping..1 vehicle/8 people max per permit. I need to call the camp host the week before to let him know how many, so he can get our campsite ready.

The weekend of August 1-3. Permits can be purchased at Hon-Dah outdoors/ski shop, or if afterhours and they are closed, the Hon-Dah gas station will have them.

I am out for that weekend.  7/25-27 would have worked, but 8/1-3 has my family coming back from summer vacation.
