• ASU vs UofA Tailgate Party: November 23, 2012

OK all, it's that time of year again.

Time for the Annual Rivalry game between the ASU Sun Devils & the UofA Wildcats.

This year it's down in Tucson on Friday, November 23rd.  Game time is 8 pm.

Last year, we did it up nice and had a huge tailgate party and had lots of both ASU and UofA fans out at it.  It was certainly one to remember.

This year, Mark & Dorothy Smith are hosting the Party down in Tucson at their Restaurant, The Hog Pit Smokehouse.  Not only that, they are offering an "All you can Eat" menu.  Very impressive.

I plan on going down there early and spending the day watching football & enjoying the experience.

I would love to see lots of our members come out for this event.  It's always a great time.

They do need you to RSVP by the 16th (just 2 days away) so they know what kind of staffing and food they need to have, so please post up here ASAP if you plan on going.

Looking forward to another U of A win and a great time with all my BBQ Family. The festivities will begin at 6 pm but the drinking begins when you get here Please take advantage of the Hotel right next door we dont want anyone getting caught drinking and driving. This should be a great time for sure.

Mark S, it's a long way for them to come just to take a butt whippin. Why would you do that to fellow members?  The drive back to the Valley of Heat and Homeless is gonna be brutal. At least you will send them home with a full stomach.

LOL yea it sure was a sweet drive home last year from the valley. We had such a great time last year we decided it would be fun for us to host this time. We kept the price cheap so that many of the clubs members would come. _Please let us know as soon as possible so that we make sure we have enough food for everyone. Should be a great time to get together and just enjoy a great game and some good food.

I just booked my room. Great price with the Hog Pit discount. I looked on hotels.com and the regular price is over $30 more.

Should be a great time.  Vegas has UA by 3 pts, which is considered automatic points for home field advantage. That tells me the betting pros think its pretty even match. Should be a great time for bbq and beer....

Dan,  I too think it's going to be a great game and much closer than anyone thinks.  You can never go off of the season for a game like this, if you could, the Sun Devils would have won the past 2 years.

I'm excited to be coming down there and seeing all of our Southern Arizona BBQ Friends & Family.  We hosted all of you last year and I'm happy to see us start to get a good, fun, safe, rotation going on where we can all get together and have a great time and enjoy the event.

Hoping to see lots more of our members out at this fun event.

Supposes to be 75 degrees at kickoff. Great weather for this event. Good luck Devils. Almost bummed I have tickets.  The Hog Pit sounds like a great time!

Sorry you won't be there, Dan. I'm really looking forward to seeing The Hog Pit for the first time. The AZ Republic predicts UA winning 42-38 in a shootout. I like having the Devils in the underdog role. Should be a good one!
