I was in Silver City last summer.  What a nice area to visit.  Cool (both literally and figuratively) little town with some good Mexican restaurants and the Silver City Brewing Company.(Excellent IPA)

I stumbled across Terry's Original Smoked BBQ trailer parked in front of a grocery store.....some of the best brisket I've had.  The drive up north from there to the Indian Ruins is also an excellent side trip.

If you'all are looking to cool off in June, this should be a great event in an enjoyable location!
