Hey, who is planning on joining us out at PIR this April for NASCAR.  We are trying to see how many people would like to join us before we firm up any plans, so please let us know.

I will be there with my extended family about 12 in all
All of these folks wil be at Stagecoach also
Plus the Golf Super from the Citrus course in La Quinta will be with us

Yea guys, please plan to come out and just hang out, even if you don't have tickets to the race.  It's always fun to see the crowds and taste the great food we have going out there.

Please let us know if you are planning on coming out to join us so we have a head count.

Also, what ideas do you have for the pre race menu?

Any word on the numbers of people attending and food needed? Wondering about the set up.
It looks like it is going to be hot that weekend. Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen.

Mark, we are looking at about 20 - 25 people total throughout the day. 

Let me know what is a good day and time to bring the grill out.  If you want me to bring it out earlier than Saturday, that's OK, if just on Saturday, then let me know how early I can get there.

I am thinking about arriving by 9 am.

Still have not determined the menu for the day.

Probably Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Maybe some ribs

Potato Salad

Fatties

Spicy Sausage or Beer Brats.

Any other ideas or suggestions? 

I wish Bear was coming again, I love the ABT's he makes... hint hint Bear....

I was thinking of maybe setting it up on Tuesday. I will have to get out there and see what changes they have done by our spots this year. Every year they seem to make some dumb change. Remember two years ago they moved the fence and put it right on the edge of our spots and then last year they had the bright idea to make parking spots for the store up against the fence. Boy are most Nascar fans terrrible parkers. We spent most of the week pushing the fence that they hit back out of our spots. Rumor has it that they were going to make the fencing permanent and possible 6' high. Hopefully not, sure don't want to feel like we are in jail. If the fence is permanent we will need to get you in there before the last trailer gets into the spot. I will let you know first thing Monday. Would you be able to bring it out Tuesday morning if needed? Also I sure hope Bear is good at taking hints. My brother from Wisconsin will be there and it would be fun to see him cry like a little girl with the ABT's. I will be out there from Monday morning on, so if anyone else is out there feel free to stop by.

Guys,  Thom just called me and unfortunately due to the death of his mother, he will not be able to come out to the race.

He has one RV spot and 6 tickets on the Hill that he would like to see if anyone would like to use.  If you are interested in it, please PM or call Thom and discuss details. 

I know it would be a huge burden off of him.

If you do get his tickets and RV spot, you are more than welcome to come join us for some great BBQ before the race and hang out with us.

Hey Stitchwerks, being that you are a whinny bowtie boy, you would understand about crying like a little girl. Bring on the ABT's. Looking forward to meeting the AZ Barbeque Crew, and having some good eats. I have have no problem backing the Fords or the driver from Cambridge WI. We will see who "cries like a little girl." Lookin forward to it.
