Mike,

A KCBS sanctioned event would be pretty outstanding! If I can help or do anything in that regard, let me know. What are or might the issues be n AZ BBQ sanctioning the event for KCBS?

From the OP:  "On Saturday and Sunday, August 18th and 19th, 2012, the High Pines Blue Grass Festival will be taking place at the Hon-Dah Resort and Casino and we are looking forward to having a barbecue competition in conjunction with the Blue Grass Festival! We are hoping for more than $5000 in BBQ prize money!"

We have been cooking bbq for the friday night kickoff for the festival for the last three years for CHRIS STEVENS at the radio station and they usually set up in the north-east parking lot next to the bleachers!

Well folks... High Pines Blue Grass Festival will be happening wihtout a BBQ comp this year. :'(  Maybe next year.

Things just didn't work out time wise and in getting everyone together and communicating and getting things done. So...

Come on up anyway... get away and enjoy some good ol' Blue Grass Music.

We are really sorry that things didn't work out.

I am sorry this didn't work out, I was looking forward to competing close to home.  But for some good news we are still planning on putting on a competition during the Outlaw ATV Jamboree, We would love to see all the teams that were going to Hon Dah come to our event and enjoy competing and taking some trailrides on their ATV's.  We are still in the planning stage and trying to raise funds.  I will keep everyone posted. Hope to see lots of teams for our first event.
