For those of you who do not know the history of this game, and for those who do but would like to read more about it, take a look at the Wikipedia link below:

In a nutshell, the game is one of the oldest rivalry games in the nation and the Territorial Cup, the trophy that goes to the winner of the game for the ensuing year, is the oldest trophy in college football.
If you took a look at the Wikipedia page you saw a graphic illustration of how streaky this rivalry has been over the last century-plus of games. Arizona currently holds a winning record in the series which stands at Arizona - 44 wins, ASU 36 wins with one tie in 1987 sandwiched into a nine year stretch where Arizona went 8-0-1.
ASU enjoyed a 9-year winning streak from 1965 through 1973 (inclusive) and only two games in that stretch were close ('65 & '70). During the Frank Kush era as ASU Head Coach, which began in 1958, the Sun Devils were 16-5 vs. the Wildcats.
The longest winning streak in the long history of the "Duel In The Desert" is 11 games (by Arizona) and the longest streaks where a team had only a single victory somewhere in the middle are 20 games (by Arizona where they went 20-1) and then 13 games (by ASU where they went 14-1).
If you grew up in Arizona and enjoyed college football, this is the game you look forward to all year!

Great games........ you left out the number of bowls..... Rose Bowls.....winning seasons....... and WAC and Pac ten champsions.............and top ten rankings.......and undefeated seasons.......and players that went into the NFL..that ASU has compared to the Mildcats....... of course.. a U of A fan wouldn't include those overall embarrassing numbers...........LOL....... Any Mildcat..... Anytime..........

AND>>>>>>>>>>> many of the mildcat wins early were when ASU WASN'T a university........ they were Tempe Normal.......... bulldogs.......and they played at the old Goodwin stadium and Phoenix Union..... now there is some history.................

If ASU could only play as well as there fans talk crap U of A still has the most wins either way you look at it. I have to give credit where credit is due ASU did finally win its 5th game this year to give them a shot to play a bowl game. I think either way this will be a very good game. Please Mike tell me there will be a TV at the cooking class so we can enjoy the U of A Victory.

Hmmmm.. Cats are about to see a three game LOSING streak and Devils are about to finish a 4 game WINNING streak.......and it's obvious by my earlier post which program is superior consistently..... and it's not the MILDCATS>....................FALL DOWN>> NOGALES...........

Early = now.. last time I checked.......... early came before now........... getting an edumication from U of Nogales at Tucson looks not to be a priority........... I know they give degrees out there........ ASU .. well you earn an education there.........
