Here are the current Standings after our 1st event of the year.
Congrats to everyone who competed, remember, you need to compete in a minimum of 3 events to be eligible this year and the top 4 events count.

1st - Major Woody's - 86 Pts
2nd - Otis and the bird - 85 Pts
3rd - McFrankenBoo BBQ - 76 Pts
4th - Tie - VRM Pit Crew - 71 Pts
4th - Tie - 4 Legs Up BBQ - 71 Pts
6th - Smokin Triggers - 70 Pts
7th - QN4U BBQ House - 69 Pts
8th - Let's Kick Some Ash - 68 Pts
9th - Smitty's Smoke Patrol - 67 Pts

After 3 Events, here are our current top 10. Several teams have already competed in the minimum of 3 contests to be eligible for this year's awards, many have 2 already under their belt with many more coming.

Wow, close races.
It's going to be an interesting year now that a lot of teams have 3 & 4 events already under their belt.
We still have some big events coming up.
July has 2 events, October in Tucson, November at Pulte & December should be fairly big as well.
That's 5 more events....
What a great BBQ year here in AZ..

Okay, everyone... Here are the updated standings for Team of the Year. We have a couple of new #1 teams and some really close races. Congrats to everyone and hope to see you all at the upcoming competitions!! Absolutely an interesting year!!!

It's going to be a tight race this year for our teams.
Currently have 4 events remaining with the possibility of adding 1 or 2 more.
July 16th - 17th - Prescott BBQ Days
October 29th - 30th - Starr Pass Barbecue Classic
November 12th - 13th - 4th Annual Sun City Festival
December 3rd - 4th - AZ BBQ Championships
Get your entries in ASAP as these all will fill up. You don't want to miss out.

Wow, great race. It's really getting close.
Otis & the Bird is still holding on to the top spot with at least 3 more events to go, a few of them Huge Points events like our November Pulte & our December one we will soon be announcing..
Great race & fun events this year...

I know this will take a while to figure in the last two comps, but it will be very interesting to see how this all shakes out, given the roller coaster scores from the last competition!

I'm almost thinking about not posting it until the Holiday Party and just surprising everyone with the announcements...
Congrats to all the teams who competed this year and THANK YOU for your support.
I think we can honestly say we had the best year ever of competition BBQ here in Arizona. What a year it's been..

Lisa is stuck in Hawaii with no access to a computer outside work. I am guessing it will be about two weeks until she is able to update the scores from the past two events.
