Title: Pit Barrel Cooker in Comps?
Post by: Stuck-O on April 03, 2018, 10:42:47 am
I'm struggling coming up with a 2nd cooker. Was gunna get a 2nd GMG, but the deal I was offered fell through, and don't think I can get one from a store right now. So..... Does anyone know if any team has had good luck using a PBC at a comp? I was trying to get my own drum built, but that is also falling through.

I've seen a couple PBC's at events in New Mexico and I myself have one. I use the PBC for ribs chicken and beef brisket (when I'm too lazy to fire up the Lang for brisket). Additionally, the PBC cooks great  wings, salmon and rib eye. It's very portable and fits nicely in my motor home.  Another option for you might be a Weber Smokey Mountain -- you'll see a ton of them at events. PBC is also veteran owned.
