Diversion plate

I am having a pit made and was wondering if it matters how thick the Diversion plate is? :question: :question: :lamp: :lamp:

i have found that 3/16 and 1/4 both have worked well. dont know if that is right, but that is what ive used. :question:

The guy making it for me is using 3/8 for the whole pit. should have it in 4 weeks. 8)

Any plate is a diversion plate to me...as long as there is food on it. ::)

Drop me a note, Im still new to the cooking but have been fabbing for quite a while. you can see two of them here on this site. I posted pics under the general discusion. Let me know, Ill be glad to tell ya the little that I know.
