I am currently building a Smoker and Grill Combination for a customer here in Tucson. Its the standard Vertical Smoker with a few modifications. The handles will have a coil handle for heat and a water pan between firebox and cooking chamber. What's going to set this unit apart form the others is the grill. The grill is fabricated from 3/16 steel plate that has a lid. The grill grate will elevate 6 inches above the firebox with an overall elevation of 17 inches from the charcoal grate. This grill is nice. We impressed ourselves with how well it went together. These are the final pictures less paint, but who needs paint. Well it looks better with Paint :P

Ready for paint. Here is a breakdown. Built from 3/16 steel plate. Smoker has 3 shelves 22x22, with 3 gallon water pan and 24 x 24 x 15 firebox. Grill is 24 x 36 with 12 inch deep firebox, grill grate is 22 x 33 with charcoal grate underneath. The grill grate elevates with in. You can elevate the grate up or down with out opening the lid. Awesome grill.

Hello all, I'm the lucky owner of the smoker/grill combo built by David at AZ BBQ Grills. David & Tyler did a spectacular job on building this unit for me. David was always open to suggestions, & went out out of his way to make sure I was happy with the finished product. Been busy lately, so only used it a few times. But I do have to say, this this will cook!! Being made with 3/16" steel, it really holds a steady temp throughout a cook. Anyway, just wanted to say thx to Dave & Tyler for a job well done. I would definately recommend AZ BBQ Grills to anyone looking for a new grill.

Rick has helped me see a new grill / smoker. This pit will be the awesome. I will give you all a slight hint, but not give away the final product. As I honestly think it will beat any smoker / grill on the market. No it nots going to have any automation like gravity feed, pellet feed or insulated. It wil be close to the, "good one smoker" yet 10x better than my current build. So get ready.

Wow 10X better them a Good-One and not even built yet pretty bold !!!!

I would love to see how you have made the smoker 10X better was it by asking the 15,000 + current owners what they think?  or just by coping the design and using your vast expertise in Thermodynamic heat transfer to weld up a copy and ride on the coats tails of the Good-One Smoker line.

I will be in Phoenix next week and might make a run down to take a look.

We will be watching to- Ace Of Hearts BBQ "Home of the Good-One Smoker Grill"
