WELL I HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM MY FOLKS IN GREENFIELD MIZZOURI THINK IT'S HOT HERE YUK SWEATING IN THE SHOWER NOT GOOD ANYWAY GOT ME 1/2 CORD OF PRIME CHERRY WOOD .PEACH,SOME WHITE OAK,SOME APPLE AND NOT SURE HOW WELL IT WILL WORK BUT GRAPE VINES GO FIGURE COULDN'T HURT....I THINK LOL. DUE TO ALL THE HIGH WINDS AND BAD WEATHER TOOK ALOT OF TREES DOWN THAT HAVE BEEN THERE FOR MANY YEARS. MY HEART DROPPED WHEN I SEEN A HUGHE FIRE OF CHERRY TREES THEY WERE BURNING TO GET RID OF SNIFF SNIFF...... :'( :'(

RON, I use to cook cornish game hens over grape vines and they always had a great flavor! You mentioned the burning of the cherry trees, when we were in the gulf coast after katrina they were taking 150 year old oak trees ( 3 foot across) and bulldozing them into a pile the size of a football field and torching them! i spent a week on the phone trying to come up witha way to have wood shipped out west on rails/semis whatever, but it never worked out and to this day i still see all that great wood wasted! Through the years i have developed relationships with anyone that i could find locally who has fruit trees and they call me when they trim or cut down, also there's a guy in camp verde who has a pecan orchard that gives away his trimmings!

Nice score on the wood Ron. I used cherry once and ran out love the apple I think any of the fruits work well

Big Dogs.. You think we all forgot that you took 1st place in all 4 categories and GC at an event. Don't talk to me about Big Dogs... Get your A$$ out there to the Prescott and Pulte events. We would love to see you back in the mix.. ;)
