came home the other day from work to a cool grill from my girlfriend.....

she even put it together for me............

dual exhaust and 26"........

had to get something good to break it in........

that's over 30 oz of the good stuff.........

fresh garlic, olive oil and S&P.........nuthin' else needed.

started the lump.......

dumped the coals and tossed on some bigger stuff.....kinda looks small in that big 26" kettle.

settled down and the pecan is starting to smoke........

as al bundy would say.........."let's rock!"

coming along..............

gotta go boys and girls.............

over all the grill worked nice, loved the fact that i can build a good size fire and put 2''-3'' pecan chunks for smoke and still have lots of room. the steaks were great and i was amazed at how much smoke the veggies took on. BTW this grill was $89 @HD....i love weber products but damn this thing rocks almost as much as my girlfriend.............not quite but almost!

Great stuff, great write-up, great pics. $15 for 2/3 of a pound? Zowie! That cow had a pedigree!

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!

my girl found a place in chandler that is a bonefide butcher shop......they make sausage, snack sticks, had a smoker going, and even make dog food. pricey stuff but so much better than the grocery store stuff. we won't be going there too often but for special occasions you can't beat the quality.

Have to admit that was a nice looking fillet, hard to find with even marbling like that. Hope it was great! Made me so hungry I might have to grind some brisket scraps tonight to make some burgers for my sweetie and make sure she does not see this.
