I have used a Kingfisher 6 rack rotisserie for years and it has served me well and it does baste its own meat while cooking. The rotisserie keeps the meat moving and keeps every piece in similar temp range and cook times. The only drawback I have with it is it likes lots of wood to keep the chamber cookin. I bought a Fast Eddy 100 last week from our friends at BBQ ISLAND to lend time to my sleep and lack of wanting to fuel my Kingfisher throughout the night. Funny thing is I am cooking 300 lbs of Pork Butts tonight on my Kingfisher and have another 75 lbs testing in my new Fast Eddy. I know what I get from my rotisserie and have a lot to learn using the Cookshack. I will post my review on how everything come out in a couple days. I still like my rotisserie but am getting to old and grumpy to keep the fire at temp.

Congrats on your new FEC 100 Brandon.  I'm sure you will learn to love that just as much as you do the Kingfisher.

Look forward to reading your reviews on it..

Thanks for the encouragement Mike. The new Fast Eddie will be an asset to my company but will take some learning to get the product I want. The Kingfisher took a while to understand  in the beginning but after learning it makes meat happy. I will keep everyone posted as this will be a learning process for me to go from an integrated water box to dry smoke. Being an old dog, it will take me a little time to find my way. I am sure I will enjoy the journey...

using a rotisserie unit cooks your food evenly because you are cooking with indirect heat as opposed to direct heat, which you always have to monitor. i use a small version of the big guy ones for comps using my weber kettle and have taken grand champion as well as other 1st 2dn and 3rds. i also see other teams using the smaller version as well and constantly winning. so if you are on the fence, get of and start spinning. whether you use the big boy or small rotisserie it will turn out the best.
and in case you missed my chicken post, here are some wings to prove my point. these shelves are 17"x5" and fit my weber, gasser and uds.
