i picked up an older bar-b-chef and now i need to give this grease pit a new lease on life........

first thing was to set it on fire, and now that the flames and smoke are gone it is time to scrape.

the build up was past the retaining nut.......

guess the fire got a little hot................meh, it's going to get new paint.

all hardware removed sanded, and ready for painting........

compressor ready and it starts to rain......are you kidding me, it don't rain in az!

so i'll just have to paint tomorow but for now i can raise the fire gate.

more to come................

Currently cooking with a newly built UDS,(thanks to Skouson, my brother) which is my current best smoker.  I've also got a Weber Performer, also from Sterling.  My brothers think I'm CRAZY.  (Strangely, they're right.)

That does look exactly like mine, but likely a shade heavier. The handles are larger, and you have the spring on the FB door. That cooking grate in the FB is SWEET!.

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!

So, it's exactly like yours only different, right??  ;D  :D  ;D

It does look good though.  I have a Chargriller Duo that is not a Triple since I added the firebox and I love it.  Not going to BBQ big quantities, but great for the smaller stuff.
