Aquired a slightly used (9 months) 22-1/2" WSM today off of CL ($275).  The previous owner added a third grate and a small 18" grate that stands just underneath the dome.  He was doing 9 briskets at at time with the 4 grates.  It is already set up for a Stoker.  I need to get some grommets.  The rest of the arsenal is in the background.

Is that a ranch kettle?  How do you like it?  What do you do on it?

I would love see some pictures of the way its setup with the grates.

The previous owner drilled holes through the sides and the existing brackets equal distance between the top and bottom bracket.  He inserted screws/nuts into the holes and uses them as holders for a regular 22 1/2" Weber grate.  It does make the space between the grates too close to use for butts (except on the top grate).

The additional (4th) grate is a small 18" with 4 long screws mounted to act as legs.  It sits on top of the regular top grate.

Yes, it is.  I was using it in comps to cook brisket, pork butt and ribs with the help of a Stoker system.  Chicken was on one of the regular kettles.  See how I set it up for smoking witht the Stoker and without cutting any extra holes in it.    I plan to use it more for traditional grilling such as tri-tip, steaks, burgers.  I will likely try to unload two of the three 22 1/2" kettles (one is red) to make the wife happy and add room.

Nice.  I've wanted a ranch kettle since I first saw it.
