Title: My New Baby
Post by: Tom72 on July 11, 2011, 01:46:11 pm
Well, here it is.  Thanks to the guys at I.A.B. 30 BBQ, I've got an awesome Backwoods Party unit, and it is a thing of beauty.  I've got the wheels on it now, and it's ready to rock.

And now it will sit in storage until I get a deal done on a house so I can actually use it.

IT'S KILLING ME!  :'(

Sexy! Tom I live in Gilbert and for no fee will store it in my yard and you can even come over once in a while and use it if you want to!  ;) I'm jealous. I'm really considering buying two of these or one fec 100. To me, with the backwoods, I get all of the flavor benefits of my webers (charcoal, wood) without the heat loss.

Congrats on the new smoker Tom!  So shiny and new.  I'm sure you will get many good cooks out of it.

The best part about buying from those guys is the product knowledge. They really have those smokers dialed in. Congrats on the purchase but I bet the cleanliness is driving you crazy.

Let us know how you like it when you get to use it. I am also looking at buying one of those or a FEC 100. I also live in Gilbert and have plenty of space to use it   ;) I mean store it.

Tom 72--as you can see, there is no lacking of volunteers to let you store your BWP. But Gilbert is so far away. Somewhere near I-17 and Greenway would be a much better choice. And I have a large back yard...

Every time I look at it, it makes me crazy....it shouldn't be that shiny!  The first thing I'm going to do when I get into a house is season it and then fill every shelf on that thing and put it to work, just because.

I'm glad I got the cooker from I.A.B. 30 BBQ...they know the Backwoods inside and out and helped me make my decision.  And I was told I get a lifetime of free advice with it!

azkitch - you're actually really close to me.  I'm off I-17 and Peoria, and the house I'm trying to get is close by.

Shoot. That close to In n Out, you don't need no cooking implements!

Careful on the advice part, last time listened to them I was injecting my competition chicken with a mixture of turkey gravy and Tang.  :'(

That chicken injection is working great for us these days.  Don't be a hater....

That thing looks pretty sweet.

On a side note...if anyone has a contact at Backwoods Smoker, they may want to give them a call and let them know their site got hacked (search for the site in Google and their listing is for Viagra and Cialis...). I sent an email to the address on the site and it's too late for me to call tonight :)

I swear I am the only person that isn't crazy about In n Out.  When they first opened the one that's five feet from me, the lines were so long I thought they were handing out money!  When I finally tried it I couldn't figure what all the fuss was about.  Not bad, but just kind of typical burgers.  I do like Five Guys though...wouldn't mind having one of them close-by.

Tom, you just had to post the pictures of your new Backwoods. It looked so pretty, I had to get the last one from them. You can never have too many toys. ;D

Congratulations on the new toy!  They are pretty...once I saw it in person and got the tour, I couldn't not get it.  I was over at my friend's house last night where I'm storing it, and I kept going in the garage just to look at it!  I'm glad someone on here picked it up, and I'm glad Tom and Paul were able to sell it.

These guys are selling some Backwoods indeed. Congrats Tom and Mark. I'm sure it's even better when the seller can actually give you relevant advice rather than just a sales pitch. Make sure you send some pics of those first smokes.

It wouldn't be a Saturday or Sunday without pictures. ;D
