??? Do the words "Carbon Monoxide Poisoning " ring a bell? That is about the stupidist thing I have ever seen.
I just started in the garage temps this time of year are around 30 F and only going to get colder -10 - -30+ . Installed a range hood and vented outside works well I would say that 80% or more of the smoke is drawn outside.
Pretty drafty in a garage, too.

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!

I feel this guy's pain.  Coming from Colorado, it was hard to keep a temp.  Before I knew I was coming to AZ, I was about to build a shed for my cookers.  Well ventilated of course.

OK well he has a vent hood that is drawing a vacuum on the room.  That being said there is fresh air being drawn in so "carbon monoxide poisoning"  Very unlikely to happen as long as the vent hood is on.  There is one other thing though the air temp in room will drop where the air is coming in at.  I like the sacrifice for good food myself.

ALL jokes aside, please purchase a carbon monoxide detector!!!! I have picked up too many dead folks over the years in the ambulance including whole families. You never know if the 80 percent is accurate or not untill it's too late!!
