100% agreed Dave.
John did attempt the "plumber crack" in the first picture though. I thank the photographer for the correct angle....didnt really want to see that.

I did not want to get you all fired up crash

That's a BUNCH of concrete! Izzat 3" thick? How big's the pad? Did ya arrange for the metal 2Xs or did you use a hammer drill etc. to mount them? My older stepson does concrete, and we keep talking about putting in a pad of about 12 to 14 by 16 or 20. And now I'm up to 5 + accessories, and we could move some other stuff outta the shed....but I so deserve a better kitchen!! What to do, what to do.
Nice looking add on. Looks like it's going smoothly. Is that just a storage shed you're building?
-
That is 31 yards, at 3500 psi. about 2200 sf.

I ended up using the same amount on my garage I built, only it was 1000 feet. I had some pretty deep footers. The guys screwed up, I should have only need about 18 yards. What is concrete going these days for a yard. Up here in Flag, when I bought mine is was going for $130/yard. Concrete guys costed me an extra 1700 dollars!!!
-
I think our cost is around $82 a yard
-
If I had just waited..... I could have save a A LOT!! Oh well. Everything is looking good on you paradise. Anything new happening???
-
Well? Any finished pictures?

Hey John really looking foward to seeing what you are going to do to it. I need to highjack really quick though. How is your arm last time I seen ya we were doing shots just to ease the pain.
-
well i tore my rotator cup and the two tendens from my elbow to wrist
-
So how long is the recovery and do/did you need surgery?
-
yes i will but, I still need to get to get the one for my acl and mcl from the flag football game
-
Dude, I told you it was bad. Just drink Alot!
-
Get it all done at once. The pain meds are much better than beer.
-
Dude, I told you it was bad. Just drink Alot!
what would i do without you
-
go to Dr. sheridan..... he is the surgeon for Dbacks and other major league players..... one of the best in the country...... I had my elbow surgery 2 years ago from him.......
-
Whoa. All that surgery is gonna cost you an arm and a leg!
Sorry. I couldn't let it go.
John, I'm sorry you're all tore up. Get well soon. And there are better ways to jack up your pain threshold!
-
Hope I am not beating a dead horse, posting in this old topic but I wanted to see if there were finished pictures or if the project is still on hold due to John's injuries??
John - Take the elbow stuff seriously if you haven't already. My wife is working on year #2 and surgery #3 because she waited too long after tearing ligaments and tendons four years ago.
-
wow........ looking really "rad"...... old term for old guys.......
James your only as old as you feel.
Michael looks like an extremely nice setup bet you can't wait.
-
I need to refer Bekke to this thread whenever she complains about me starting another project and then not finishing it. :D
