Got my new welder and had to play, so decided to make rack to hold two of our teams 22"WSM's so they go in and out of comp trailer in one piece. Not finished yet so pic's will be added...

This cool welder can be used with 120 volt or 220 volt with a simple switch of the plug end, you don't even have to tell the damn thing your doing it!!! So much fun!!! Got my 17 year old hooked already..

How ya gonna weld them chunks o' wood?
Sorry. Just hadda go there. Diamond plate or expanded metal floors?
That's gonna be a nice set up. I'd be happy making a UDS cart. Which is silly, since they're for sale all over the place...
-
No floor, tabs going to be welded under legs to lower WSM for better center of gravity. Also if wind blocking sides are on opening at bottom will allow air flow....
-
Nice leveling jack. Looks handy!
-
That looks awsome. I've always wanted to learn to weld. Did metal shop back in high school, would like to take another shot at it. Nice job there!

Latest upgrades.....
Leg holders lowered for better center of gravity..

Red dots on concrete are my very own blood!! Hint.....Don't grab flying new aluminum diamond plate in mid air!!
Center table insert
(http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e318/quiggsfile/SANY1399.jpg)
Possible side table option....or making lid holder off the side...few more beers should make decission!!....
BY THE WAY...ALL THOSE SPECKS ON WSM's LID ARE HAIL DAMAGE FROM MESQUITE LAST YEAR!!! IT TOOK US A WHILE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED!! SMALL CHIPS IN PORCELIN..... NICE STORM TO SURVIVE!!
Table again...
Up next "Extras" !!! Stay tuned!!!....................

Once you get it all figured out...I'll need something like that for a couple of drums. ;) ;)
-
Looks great so far
-
Nice play by play Dave, looking good! 8) 8)

Latest additions.
Bent up a lid holder.. worked better than I hoped as it is wide enough that you can swing lid onto it with one hand insted of grabbing both handles.

Next is removable side table frame. It slips into side rail tubes.

Getting close to finish..

-
nice project!
job well done!
congrats
-
great vision and execution......nice rig!

I know this is a little old, but I gotta tell ya Dave, that is slick! I've been trying to figure out a better way to hold and transport 2 UDS's, while cooking. I'm not so worried but the WSM's, but that is very nice. All I need is a welder, some square tubing, and someone who knows what they are doing w/ a fire wrench. I'm close!
-
There is only one slight problem I see with the project and it is a quick fix. I don't see any smoke coming from them or any meat on them. >:D Very nice work, looks really good and I'm sure your gonna love that setup.
