This sounds great!  Would this be similar to the old Hodges BBQ Sauce served at the restaurant here in Phx years ago?  I have a friend who's hubby would give his R arm for another taste of this famous BBQ Sauce. I would love to make a batch and give it as an anniversary gift.  Does anyone know how I can get my hands on the recipe?

I used to eat at the original Hodge's and nearby TownTalk BBQ about 40 years ago. I remember Hodge's sauce as a thin, peppery and served warm with your meat of choice and a fistful of white bread. Hodge's is long gone, but there is a reincarnation of TownTalk on 19th Ave, north of Osborn. You might want to give their sauce a try.

That's awesome news!!  I look forward to trying it & thanks for responding so quickly.  Since I have never tasted the original, I will post my friends response as to how it compares.   They should be back from Hawaii in a month or so  Thanks a million!!!
