Apple Butter BBQ Sauce

1 quart apple butter
1 cup apple juice
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp dry mustard (mix to a paste with 1 Tbsp apple juice before adding)
Salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan and simmer until blended. Adjust
sweet / tart taste. Increase heat to medium and bring to a gentle boil,
stirring frequently to prevent sticking.

Ladle into prepared jars leaving a 1/4" headspace. Process in a boiling
water bath for 10 minutes. Adjust time according to altitude.

Makes about 5 half pints

(for canning in Phoenix process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes)  I got this off a canning group I belong to and thought this might be good.  I've not made it yet but am going to.  I canned 16 qts of apple butter last month.

Awsome man. A recipe where you gotta cook one recipe first making one product. And then use it to make another recipe. Sounds good so far. You mind posting the apple recipe to.

Thanks

I like to cook so guess it's natural for me to have homemade apple butter in the pantry, love it on my homemade bread I bake every week or biscuits.  You can always use store bought apple butter, too and save that step.  I make apple butter differently every time.  I'll cook up the apples in a Nesco Roaster till done, or if busy, use the huge restaurant size cans of apple sauce and add the seasonings to that, honestly, can't tell the difference from using hand pared apples and cooking them down.
