Have to agree with Mike. The people in Safford were perfect hosts and we had a great time. Several first time competitors and they did themselves proud. Thanks to Mayor Gibbs and the celebrity judges. They took their duties seriously. Hope SEACUS made tons of money for their community projects. And there were some really cool cars and trucks on display. Once again, thank you Safford for your hospitality.

Thanks to the great hosts in Safford! These are people who lacked a little experience, but were huge on passion and effort.  For being new to this they did a fine job. I think they know what they need to do for a bigger better comp next year. Not getting our pork turned in on time s*cked, period. When I saw the wife walking back to the booth with the box still in hand, I thought someone hit me in the heart with a sledgehammer. If you've never been thru it, the DQ tears you up somethin fierce. I woke up this morning still ticked off. No excuses, won't happen again, it's a self correcting measure. I thought our turn-ins were pretty good, so it's really dissapointing.  Met some great new teams. Congrats to Mark and The Hog Pit and Ted and The BBQ Castways, teams that had it all together and deserved the walk!
