2022 Springerville Rib Throwdown / Kids Q Springerville 2022
« Last post by Mike (AZBarbeque) on March 07, 2022, 04:37:21 pm »
Kids Q 2022 - This year we have made some changes to the Kids Q.

Registration is attached.

Entry is limited to the first 20 Kids (17 & Younger).   They MUST be able to cook and carry their turn in themselves.  We will have 2 age categories this year.

12 years Old - 17 Years Old
11 years old and younger

Category is OPEN. Nothing Veggie or Vegan, must be some sort of Meat Dish, but can be whatever the Kid wants.  We suggest they cook up something they enjoy eating.

Must have enough for 6 judges

Kids will meet face to face with the judges so they can explain what they cooked and how they cooked it.

Turn in Time will be 2 pm on Saturday of the event.

This year we will be doing the judging and scoring just like we do on the rib event.  Judges will use the same score card and scoring criteria.  This way we can show the kids exactly where they finished and how they did.

Have fun with this event & get the kids excited about cooking BBQ. They are our next Generation of PitMasters. Let's make it memorable for them.

Just test link had this built but now I need a trailer smoker instead and can't afford to have both! Click here for the craigslist listing for pics and more info. I can also text info and more pics at 480-233-5922. It's about 800 lbs and smokes very very well and efficient. Must see to appreciate. Thx for looking.
