This is the new Excel 20 I picked up just waiting to use it this week

Oh wow I get a hat when I spend how much money?

I only paid $250 plus some on gas. Yes thats $250 for both. I drove from Tucson to Mesa Friday night and picked up two of these and they both fit in the back of the Dodge Magnum no problems. After getting back home found a couple people selling them for even less. Oh well I still think I got a killer deal Still cheaper than a weber22.

Wait can I make that order for two please?

I plan to try out chicken on Thursday night. I will post on how well that turns out.

You'll love the Excel 20.  Great cooker and a great price.  You'll find that those latches are invaluable when it comes to getting to the meat on the bottom grate.  Make sure to post pictures of the first cook.

There are some great deals out there right now.   Ted called me on Saturday morning saying he found some on craigslist for even less than what Michael paid on Friday.

I'd love to take advantage of these deals but the timing sucks for me.  We're trying to throw a wedding later this year without going into debt.  We just put down a couple deposits which put a big dent in this months budget.

I'll just have to live vicariously through Michael.    Please make sure you post lots of pics.

The chicken turned out great just need to work on controlling the temp so we can eat on time. If thursday night was a comp we would have missed the turn in time.

Controlling the temp is the one thing I have been working on.  I think Palm Desert in January was the first time I didn't get in trouble for letting the temps drop.  It was also the first time we did a competition on the Pro Q and I was very pleased.  The temp held perfectly through rain and wind.  It just takes some practice.  And that chicken does look great.
