Title: Piggy Paint
Post by: capt ron on October 12, 2008, 09:16:17 am
Piggy Paint

1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons sweet paprika
2 teaspoons dry hot mustard
1 to 2 teaspoons ground red pepper
hot pepper sauce to taste
Mix all ingredients in medium sauce pan and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes
Makes 3 cups

Note:  This spicy mop is a basting sauce that literally swabbed onto the meat with a mop or brush- is designed for long cooking with large cuts of pork.  It gives the finish product a lovely color.  The taste is not real good when you just taste it but it sure makes that pig taste good.  Reserve a portion for dipping at the table.

So good!

Very nice, thanks for sharing.  I will have to try that when I finally get the nerve to cook a full pig.

Soon, I promise, soon..

We should donate the meat to a homeless shelter or new life shelter (battered women) or other organization like that so they could immediately use it............ just a thought..........

Yea, we will have to tie it in with a good charity.  That's the great thing about all of our events, they all help out a charity or worthy cause.

Let's brainstorm this a bit out at the Pulte event Chris..
