It was Scott, wish you could have been there. It was a fun and a well organized event,no drama, nobody calling KCBS,nobody hassleing the organizer,no drama, just plain old good BBQ fun and competition like it used to be and should be,it was a blast and can't wait for the next, good times were had by all  :)
I'm really sorry we missed this one! Talking with the Mrs last night about it and she commented that we were just burnt out on BBQ comps/events and all that's gone on at the last several we've attended or wanted to attend. Hopefully for BBQ's sake this Springerville event has set a new tone for what will and won't be going on in AZ BBQ from now on.

Congrats not only to the teams but to the BCS and it's creators as well who've fought pretty heavy opposition to the very idea of their existence but overcame it and presented what looked to be a "back to the future" first class event! You've shown that KCBS doesn't have to be the only game in town, there's plenty of room for others.
Keep up the good work everyone!

First of all, THANKS FOR THE BKFAST! You are truly a first class competitor and we all appreciate your effort. Your generosity and kindness is why our family is involved with bbq to begin with.

Whether its BCS or KCBS, I would encourage teams to compete. Enuf said.

Mike R,  great job on the BCS comp this past weekend. I can't imagine all the work that goes into it, especially so far from home.  Mike N, you were a great host, we will certainly be back if you'll have us next year.

I look foward to competing in both KCBS and BCS in the future. Both quality events.

Dan you are welcome anytime, when you come back next year I promise I will give the kids an atv ride, I felt bad that I didn't get time to take them.  This was a fun event and hopefully we can keep it that way. no drama, just a lot of family fun, I had a really good time.

Great event!  Mother Nature on Friday night was the only drama I was aware of.  My girls can't quit talking about the ATV rodeo and want a kids class in that next year.  Hope the guy in the oddesy-like machine is okay after his trip to the hospital.   Next year we will bring the quads for an extra long weekend.  Great escape from the city life.  Thanks to all involved!
