happy saturday all--!!
New to the site, not to the scene. A Seattle transplant (3 years in beautiful CenPho and the city has put the hook in me). In the gloomy NW is was in the Pacific Northwest Barbecue Association and did the circuit up there. Attended the Paul Kirk classes before getting competitive and always had a great time: good friends and cold beer! Good times. I also had the chance to join a team for the KC Royal, and that was easily the highlight of my BBQ stint in the northwest.
So I'm getting back into barbecue, AZ style. Would love to get a feel for the food and people being put together and have a great time. I've taken judging certification classes as well, so let me know if you need a fresh face for tasting.
Cheers, Beercicle

Howdy Matt. I have family up in the rainy parts of the northwest. Bremerton to be exact. Somewhere you will find my brother also hanging around this forum. He is still up there. Welcome to this forum. We are glad to have you here.

Hooo Ah is right! Much love to you all for the great welcome---super pumped about sharing a few cold ones, and then a few more! I've always been a big WSM fan, so I'll be reppin' that weapon at events and have some wicked salmon recipes to share for any AZ local pride recipes.
Super Bowl party at Whiskey River. One of those words is a personal favorite. I'll be the guy with two pints of Jack in his foam dome.
Beers, Matt

I wasn't in the army, but dad and uncles and cousins and friends served through the years--my hat's off to them all--nothing but love and respect for what they did and what they stand for! Good people, great country!
