Hello AZ BBQ.  My name is Jim and it appears I am the newest member of AZ BBQ.  I think I'll be happy I found you guys.  My dad, whom isn't getting any younger has passed down his award winning sauce and baby back making recipe's to me with one condition, GO COMPETE!  I certainly will. 

I'm a simple guy.  I love my family more than life itself.  An avid Chicago Bears/Blackhawks fan, and love not just eat BBQ, but to make BBQ. 

I also am the Director to a Non Profit Charity named Sandra Lynn Foundation.  (www.sandralynnfoundation.org) that helps people that cannot afford the complete costs of funerals when a loved one dies, with financial aide.

Life is a gift.  Unwrap each day with the same excitement as we did when we were kids.  Nobody is getting any younger.

Welcome, Jim you'll enjoy this site the folks on this site very down to earth .  I competed in my first competition last month had a blast, also a judge for a couple years.  Check this site for BCS contest, the next  BCS event is Freedom RV in Tucson in February 2014. Mike is going to post up applications here for teams any day now so keep an eye out, spots fill up fast, limited space. http://www.kcbs.us/ for KCBS, next event in AZ is January 2014 in Lake Havasu both are great events. 
If you don't have a place to watch Chicago teams I have a place for you, passionate fans, great people.  Hob Nob, Chandler Blvd & I-10, if it's in your neck of the woods.
