Hello,  my name is Darren and I live in Glendale.  I sell  Home, auto and commercial Insurance. I have had a BBQ for years and I am not very good at it. I got a smoker about a year ago and  have smoked quite a few things. And now I have a Dutch Oven that I recieved for Xmas to add to the mix. I have always wanted to be a good BBQ cook, however I am need of some good training and alot of practice. I want to learn from all the people here and hopefully be a good BBQ cook someday. I look forward to meeting all of you. Darren

Glad you've signed on, Darren. Take meat off sooner when grilling, later when smoking. Try again!

But really, you'll get great advice here. Support your local BBQ supply store--that'll improve your cooking too. And keep practicing. When it starts getting better, spouses and children won't object as hard...

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!

Welcome and remember the first step in getting better with any addiction is admitting you have a problem. Good luck ;D
