Hello everyone, my name is Chris Brown and I have recently accepted a job offer in Tucson, AZ working for the JW Marriott Starr Pass.  I am currently Executive Banquet Chef at the World Center Marriott in Orlando and will be the Executive Chef there.  I have been competing in BBQ competitions under two different names "Smoke on the Lakes" and "Smokin' Toques" for the past 4 years and will create a new BBQ team when I arrive in Tucson.  The teams I create are with chefs from the hotel which I work for and we compete to hone our BBQ skills and serve the best BBQ possible in the hotel. 

I look forward to joining the Arizona BBQ teams in mid October and you will be hearing about my progress from then on.

Hi, Chris. My dad owned Marriott stock. Glad you joined our group. We're a committed bunch here. Oh, wait. That should read a bunch of us here should be committed. Lots of fun, and Mike puts on a great competition. And we have some fantastic teams. No Dizzyland here, but the mosquitos are only the size of Piper Cubs, not 747s. And there are no gators in the lakes and streams nearby. Mostly cuz there aren't lakes and streams nearby.
I think you'll like Tucson. Nice town.
