Title: Lets go Smoke

I just love smoking, I just started a couple of years ago and I love it.  Ribs, Turkey and my all time favorite BRISKET and I would like to compete. I would love to attend some events to see how they operate and sample some great BBQ.

Rewster,

Welcome to our site, we have lots of great members here and lots of fun events.  Hopefully we get to see you soon at some of them.

There are two great BBQ Contests coming up.  One in Sept in Taylor, AZ, a KCBS one and the other in November out at Lake Pleasant, an IBCA one.

You can get more details on them in the Upcoming events section.  Looking forward to seeing you out there competing and enjoying some great BBQ.  ;)

I must say that I'm embaressed to to tell, but I have a water smoker and a semi nice gas grille.  I will say that I've been looking to make a change, but I want to make the right one and the production on these two has been very good.

Don't be embarassed, you have to start somewhere.  Hopefully we can get your transitioned into a smoker and get you out cooking with us at some of these contests....  ;)

Nothing at all wrong with those bullet water smokers...ask some of the people that have a wall of comp trophy's with there weber smokey mountain. I used an ECB (el cheapo brinkmann) for like 5 years.
