hey folks. Texan staying here in Albuquerque for a spell. just found this site the other day and figure this morning would be a great time to bore you about myself. hahaha
anyway, i cook on a homemade offset smoker. have started this past year with doing a couple of comps. had hoped to make the comp ya'll are having in the next two weeks but it doesn't appear it will happen. but that's ok, cause i will do my best to get out west for one of the other contests.
lets see, been cooking low and slow for a few years and still am finding new tricks and methods. hopefully i will be able to contribute as well as gleam new information on here. maybe if nothing else we will be able to meet some of ya'll during the pork and brew in march time frame here in Albuquerque.

Glad you've joined us, Glen. Lots of fun here, and the comps that Mike stages are amazing! Where in Tx? I used to live in Abilene, and my oldest daughter graduated from Mesquite HS.

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!
