Hi, I live in Goodyear and have been serious in BBQing for about 4 years, but have gotten really serious about learning and pushing my knowledge for the past 2 years with the plan on starting to compete next year with my daughter who has also gotten into helping me BBQing. My first competition is going to be the Famous Dave's Brisket and Beans cook off.
Being originally from Wisconsin I love tailgating at sporting events. Limited here in AZ, but when the Brewers are in town for Spring Training you can usually catch me at the stadium tailgating before games. Or you can just catch me taking in a game at the Goodyear ballpark during Spring Training... I love baseball.
I'm a VP in Engineering so to get my mind off of work, other than watching and going to sporting events with my family, I like to go in the back yard to BBQ. Since I work to much I've taken on the motto of "I Work to Q"...

Welcome Jason, great to have you here. Looking forward to meeting you out at the Famous Dave's Brisket & Bean event. Also, if you are able to make it, we have a Rib comp up in the Springerville area of the state over Labor Day weekend. It's really more of a social weekend, but we have $1000 in prize money & we are giving you the ribs, so not too bad of a situation.
