Title: Greetings from Far NE Mesa

Hello all,

I took it to finally register to this site, although I have been creeping the pages for some years. About me: I'm from Mesa, spent many years trapped in the Washington DC area (work stuff), returned back home and vow to never move away from my beloved again. While on the east coast I took to learning southern bbq styles and methods of cooking. I love bbq'ing quality meats and grilling veggies and stuff. My equipment is simple: propane grill for quick cooks and stuff like hot dogs, and side-box smoker for meats and everything else.

I find myself being a mixologist of spices always on the hunt for that perfect rub. I enjoy backyards, pools, cold beverages, good conversations, fine looking ladies, mountain bikes, and good food.

Welcome, Jay. You definitely sound like one of us! Try and join the BBQ Crawl this weekend if you can. You'll meet a bunch of good folk. You don't even have to go to all the stops if you don't want.

I am planning a Brisket or Pork shoulder this weekend, although I haven't actually found any good meat yet....
