Hello everyone,My name is Tommy and I just wanted to say hello to ya'll. I am just a back yard Bar-B-Quer who loves to cook. I come from The South eastern Virginia, so my type of BBQ is eastern Carolina style. I got into it a long time ago, back when we used to have yearly Pig Pickens. My specialty is Pulled Pork with a vinegar based sauce. I want to get into the ribs and chicken a little more, but quite frankly, chicken is my problem child. I have proud to help out this year with the tailgate parties especially when the theme is southern cooking. I look forward to hearing from each of you in the future and let's have fun!

Hey, Tommy. Treasure the Chesapeake! Are you familiar with Something Different Country Store and Deli, in Urbanna, VA? I'd love to make a day trip down there sometime when I'm visiting my native soil. I grew up in the MD suburbs of DC, and stumbled upon his website when I was trying to figger out how to make charcoal.

Glad you've joined us, and hope to meet you soon at one of our great functions.

Suddenly, we've got nearly as many folks in CG as we have Daves!!

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!
