Title: Cochise County BBQ
Post by: azmike on July 27, 2006, 05:08:59 am
Hi all, I am Mike, I live down on the border near Bisbee/Douglas. My wife and I own the Double Adobe Campground and Recreational Ranch. I enjoy cooking BBQ for my clientele, we operate a trap range and can have a lot of eaters at weekly events. I like to smoke with a 20" Horizon from Oklahoma but I do mucho grilling also. We have our own longhorn herd of cows that we occasionally invite to the Q! In the shop now is my new cookshack, a 16' enclosed trailer with a new Holstein grill and my smoker plus a new chili roaster and deep fryer. I have not considered BBQ competition but I will try to go to Taylor and meet some of the guys, and I love rodeos and car shows! I will try to list my web site but the computor trys my patience. I look forward to meeting some of you.   Mike

AZ Mike, Welcome. Iím with ThomÖ Even if you donít want to host a competition right out of the gateÖperhaps when it cools down you can host a ìMeat & Greetî Ö Campground, fresh longhorns and a Holstein cookerÖ only thing better than that combination is the fact that you live in one of the more ìhistory richî areas in the South WestÖ Itís kind of a drive so we may need to make it a 3 dayíer 

VIVA LA DOUGLAS!!

A meet and greet would be cool. Would make a nice road trip, plus I could take a detour and show my wife the rocks in the chiracauhuas.

Hi Mike, welcome onboard to the board.  I'm a newbie myself and am looking forward to the upcoming events and meeting you and everyone else.  Did you ever know any "Cotton's" down in the Bisbee area?

Take care,

Jay

Thanks for the hotel info Mr Devil, I got a room at the Rodeway in Taylor. I will look forward to meeting y'all. I had to choose between Taylor and the Zestfest in Ft Worth, Kath says too much fun at one time!    Mike   also, Jay I don't reconize the name.
