My name is Danny and I live in Lake Havasu. Just got introduced to this site from my buddy Quiggs - West Coast Ambassador. Wanted to shout "hey" to everyone! Been BBQ'in and perfecting my craft for 30+ years. I grew up with Santa Maria Style BBQ on the CA Central Coast. One of my faves to cook is red oak smoked Whole Prime Rib indirect on the Weber. Brisket is the bane of my existence!! Looking forward to coming to some events and sharing great times.
Got my username cause my wife says if it's standing still, it gets smoked! The Bradley is great for experiments such as green olives, triscuits, coffee, saltines, cheese stuffed onions; tomatoes, jalapenos and green chiles for a whopping DELICIOUS smoked salsa! I also smoke fresh spice blends for an extra smokey kick.  Did I say smoke??

Welcome to the madness.  Ask Dave what happens, when you get caught up in this hobby.

What part of the Central Cali, sounds like Santa Maria, but could be any of those little towns.  AG, Pismo, Morro Bay, SLO.  I spent some great years at Cal Poly, love that place.

Welcome and hope to see you at some events.

Hi, and welcome aboard. I'm another Dave--I think we have a majority--and I have an SnP. I'm currently building a charcoal basket out of expanded metal for it, as well as prepping for building a UDS. I bought a used Weber 22" kettle for $10 today, and it's in too good shape to cannibalize for a UDS, so I'll just use the lid if it fits and the grate. I was going to use the charcoal grate for the bottom of the UDS charcoal basket, but I'll just buy another hunk of XM.
Hope to meet ya at one of our outings someday.

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!
