Hello all... I just moved to PHX and am looking forward to filling the valley with a thin blue hickory smoke haze.  I may have seen some of you at the Dual in the Desert, where I got to be a judge for the IBCS brisket competition... what a tasty welcome to PHX!  (in my opinion, 2 of the entries had no business in the competition but 1 was the clear winner... hope that 1 was one of yours!)  Anyway, it looks like a great group and I appreciate the local-flare (unlike my old stomping grounds at smoking meat forums.com).  Any recommendations for a good BBQ joint, other than any of our own back yards, of course.

Welcome to the site, great to have you here.  Glad to hear you were able to judge out at the Rawhide event.  Great feedback.

There are a few good BBQ places here in town.  Go to the Resturant section of the forum and you will see a few of them posted there.

We look forward to seeing you again soon at some of our events.  Maybe even out at the AZBarbeque holiday party on the 15th.
