What a great, fun weekend.  A HUGE Congrats and Thank You goes out to James, Matt and their entire staff at Havasu Landing Resort, they certainly know how to put on an amazing event.  What a perfect location & venue for a BBQ Comp.  Right on the water, great campsites with full hookups and lots of great residents waiting to talk with us and enjoy lots of great BBQ.  We certainly look forward to doing many more events here at this great facility.

Thanks to all of our staff who came out to this event and really helped make it a great success.  Nancy & Jim, our Co-Directors with the Barbeque Championship Series Sanctioning body did another fantastic event and really helped make it appear seamless.

Thanks to my folks, Winnie & George for all of their hard work & help.  We certainly couldn't do these events without all of their continued support.

Congrats to all the teams who came out to this event as well as to all those teams who walked. 

Congrats to Smitty & Molly of Loot 'N Booty BBQ for winning Grand Champion, their very first one.  I always enjoy seeing teams win their first Grand Champion.  It's always a very special moment.

Congrats to Mark & Dorothy of The Hog Pit Smokehouse for taking Reserve Grand Champion.  They certainly have been on a roll lately.

Man we had a blast at this comp. Great location - on the lake, full rv hookups, cook at your rv spot. James and staff were amazing - they came around and took your trash and put in a new bag very often, always asking if we needed anything, and the most amazing thing - they came by each of our spots with a golf cart and trailer to take our hot ash!! We will definitely be back for the next one!! Congrats to Mark and Dorothy from Hog Pit for RGC, Tom Moore for T&J's Backyard BBQ for 3rd overall, and Robert from Glazed and Confused for walking in all 4 categories and 4th overall - great job buddy! Also all the teams that came out and competed and walked. Mike does put on some of the best competitions I have been to and really does a great job. Thanks Mike, James and staff for the amazing weekend!

I am starting to plan for next years event. I know this time of year is a busy one for BBQ comps but for the Resort and weather wise this past weekend worked out great for us. I would like to get your feed back as to when you think would be a good time to have this event. Your feed back is greatly appreciated.

The months of October, February, March & April work well.

Had we planned this event before all the other events in March, we would have gotten a better turnout.  Let's get the next one on the books & start having teams sign up soon.
