Good Sam is also sponsoring the Kids Q out at this event.
If the parent is already competing in the event, it's FREE to enter the kid/kids. Just post up or e-mail me the names & ages of the kids competing.
If the parent is NOT competing, then please e-mail or message me the kids name & the cost will be $10 in advance or $15 out at the event.

The Kids have to turn in one entry with enough food for 6 Judges.
The entry MUST be cooked on site at the event by the Kid. Parents are encouraged to work with their kids & oversee the cooking & prepping, but we really want the kids to be the ones doing this so we can get our future BBQers excited about these events.
There is NOT any set meat or category, we are leaving this one wide open to let the Kids choose what they want to cook. This way, they can get creative & cook something that they actually enjoy.
They will turn in their entry at 3 pm at the Judge's Tent. There should be enough for 6 Judges, but it does NOT have to be in 6 individual plates. They can even use a standard Turn in Container if they wish. The Kid must be able to carry the turn in by themselves.
The Kids will actually present their entry to the Judges & explain why they chose this dish & what they did for prep & cooking, so make sure they are ready for that. The Parent may be there during turn in (It's a great Photo Op).
We encourage all of your Kids to participate.
Kids MUST be signed up no later than the Cook's Meeting at 5 pm on Friday. We need to know how many Judges to keep around for this category.

Judging Criteria is based on Appearance, Taste, Creativity & Explanation.
Awards to be announced prior to event.

We have 2 kids for this. Macy-10 and Morgan-8. Mojo will not be able to compete this year bec...... Squirrel! he can't pay attention! Maybe next year for him....

That's awesome, we love it too. It's always great to see them share the same passion as we do. Need to provide a positive experience for our youth so they can grow up and become our next star Pitmasters.

Is there any. Way to do these applications online or do we have to print them out and Mail a check in ?? I would love to be able to do this online. Let me know thanks pete
