Does any one like to hunt or fish? If so what do you like to hunt for or what type of fish do you like to catch?

I love to do both. But haven't had a lot of time to. I have been deer and javelina hunting. Tons of fun even though we left both times empty handed. But camping with your buddies is a really fun part of it.  ;D ;D

My favorite fish to catch and eat is trout. Nothing better than catching some and then frying them up over a campfire. Yum!!  ;D ;D ;D

Don't hunt or fish, just never got around to it.

Love to camp and BBQ, so I'm sure I would enjoy both the hunting and fishing...

That Trout over a campfire does sound good....  :o

Have only hunted small game as a kid. Want to get into big game next year. I fish at least once a week. I like to catch and eat trout, catfish and bass. Last weekend went to rainbow lake again for bass and trout. Kept cathing northern pike, so I bury those by the apple trees. Than went to woodland lake. Caught 8 trout one day ( kept 5 that we're 12"+), the next day me and Cindy brought home another 5. Fried up the first 5, and will be throwing the other 5 on the smoker this weekend.

Bear,

What are you planning on hunting next year? Deer? Elk? It would be fun to get a group together and hunt and then cook some BBQ! Good times!! ;D ;D ;D

I am going to put in for elk, deer and antelope. Depending on how things look this spring...and way they are going now...I may get a rifle, bow and black powder for total of 9 hunts. Not sure how proficient I will be with a bow by then. definately will be puting in for all 3 for rifle.

Ok FYI all.  Last Feb.  We were passing through Alice, TX when we met a watermelon Farmer that was hvaing all kinds of problems with wild hogs tearing up his melons.  He told me and I checked later at a license sales outlet that an out of state license to shoot hogs was $40.00 and there was no limit on how many you could shoot.  The farmer also said they were "kind of chewey" unless you shot a small one and that the big ones got as big as 300 lbs.  We visited the Aransas and Welder Wildlife Reserves near Corpus Christi and both had big populations of hogs.  Don't know if you can shoot on the reserves but just outside would be the place to go askin for permission.
