-
I am a steak and potatoe guy. Nothing like a thick cut Ribeye seared over a bed of mesquite coals, and a salt crusted loaded backed potatoe. Now, throw on some crab, and some butter, oh..... Heaven here on earth!!!!!!!!!!
-

Lobster/crab/sushi/sashimi/grilled tuna/smoked salmon--- you get the idea! All that great seafood.
Pretty much the same as Colt.

-
Thanksgiving Turkey!
-
Anything edible...except iced tea and stuffing.
-
ALL OF IT!
-
Anything that doesn't have pickles or ketchup. For some reason, I find pickles and ketchup the most odious foods on the planet. Either smell will make me gag. Tomato syrup. UGH. And people dump it on everything, then leave a 1/2" thick slick of the slime on their plate that turns into gummy pooo. YAK!
-
I'm a steak and potatoe guy most of the time but do love Italian, Chinese and Mexican food.
-
If I could only have one type of food for the rest of my life (not counting BBQ) it would be seafood. Being raised mostly in the south it was all about Gulf Coast seafood - fried catfish, oysters, snapper, soft shell crab, crawfish, you name it. Man this brings me back!!
-
Kitch you are hilarious!
Let's see, how much room is there on this board?? Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Italian, Mediterranean, Clams, Oysters, Mussels, Crab, Fresh Fish, Pizza, Sushi, Asian Fusion, Burgers, Prime Rib, Filet Mignon (add some crab and bernaise sauce YUM!), Pulled Pork, Ribs - oh wait, besides BBQ, right?? I like it all!!!
I lied just now, I despise fast food...
-
all type of food and desserts, well Chinese food a few dishes, very few

Any real seafood, a perfect med rare T-Bone and my Mom's lasagna.

-
well since I have traveled the world, I would say I like all kinds of things. The first thing I would do when I went to All these countries was to find the street vendors so I could taste the local cuisine. If I don't know what it is I will eat it.
-
My wife cooks an unbelievable Eggplant Parmesan and she can make a mean birthday cake.
-
Well I'm down to 320lbs, but wieghed 360. I won't eat liver or tapioca pudding, so I consider everything else to be my favorite foods. I do love me a nice giant Porterhouse. I could eat that 24/7. I guess I'll never be avegamatarian.
-
Good seafood, ribeyes, chinese and sushi for me. :)
-
Anything ethnic. I just spotted an east African joint on east McDowell I gotta try. I love all Asian foods at "real" joints, not chains. Korean/Thai/Vietnamese/Indian, etc. I also like Brazilian food...not just the bounty of grilled meats from a churrascaria, but fejoada and spicy Bahian cooking with lots of fish, shrimp, coconut milk, chiles, palm oil, tropical fruits, etc. Oh yeah, and plenty of caiparinhas to wash it down. :P
-
If we were to go out I would do Mexican food. Eating in I would say homemade tacos.
-
WELL I LIKE HOT HOT HOT!!!! PHAL CURRY BOWL INDIAN.OR RIGHT NOW ALL U CAN EAT SCHRIMP FROM RED LOBSTER LOOKING FOR THE SAME WITH LOBSTER LOL YA RIGHT......

-
You mean to tell me that there is other food besides BBQ?
I can think of something that I like to eat, that doesn't fall into the "food" category, but that would probably get me banned, if I were to mention it.
Seriously, just by looking at me, you'd deduct (correctly) that there isn't a whole lot of food I don't like.

This changes for me, somewhat, upon my travels though I'm really not opposed to much (just look at me LOL!!_). My hometown Chicago faves of deep dish pizza (sorry Scottie), Italian beef, gyros, steaks, etc. will never ever leave. But here's some new additions to the fave lists:
Hawaii-Kalua pig was my favorite Hawaiian dish at Yama's. Had some ramen at Goma Tei at Ward's center and then Pho at some Vietnamese place in Chinatown and both were absolutely to die for. I'm looking for both back here in PHX..............................................still looking..............................
Italy-We went to Bologna (best food town), Florence, Venice, Rome, Parma/Modena (unfortunately closed on Sunday) and I can't even say how good the food was. We even took a bus to the far side of Bologna to a super-walmart-esque type of store to have fresh sausages, pasta, cheeses, and bread virtually made right there for us and we cooked back in the condo we rented with some Peroni :P Absolutely frickin' amazing-can't wait to return as soon as the dollar recovers...........................
London-A very cool connection to have on a trip to Italy, the food was good though rumors to the contrary abound. It is a very international city, many would say there's really not a lot of Britain left in London. Based on the burkhas and turbans I encountered all along Edgware Rd. I can't say I disagree-I only stayed a few days though. Steak and Ale pie, bangers and mash :) Brilliant!! And don't miss the Borough Market and their grilled cheese sandwich vendor who takes 'off the hook' to a whole other level!!
-

Well, if you haven't guessed by my other postings yet, I am Polish. So naturally, I very much enjoy anything that is brined, pickled, smoked, cured, or cooked over open flame. Lamb is favorite red meat, followed by any game as a close second. My favorite thing to create is a fusion between American and Polish cuisine.... an American dish (such as turkey or ham) that has an earthy~spicy flavor.
-
I have to admit that lamb is the one thing I have never cooked. And I've only eaten it a handful of times in my life. My wife's cousin raised lambs for years and his mother always exclaimed a lamb recipe to be a success because it didn't taste like lamb. I never figured out why you would raise something you didn't want to taste. So I admire those who know and cook something the way it is supposed to taste. I think the Poles do it right.
-
Your words are kind Mark...thank you. I have had quite the success here in Texas (of all places) converting those who swear at the sight of lamb to become those who now enjoy a properly 'cued one. Some of the best lamb ever tastes less like mutton and more like an exotic meat.
-
Question number four:
Besides BBQ what are your favorite foods?
Have you seen me? Easier to name things I hate.
1. Beets
2. Egg Nog
3. More Beets.
That's about it.
But I do love me some PF Changs.
-
Beets? You hate beets? Ah man....hating beets is like, well, hating life itself.
I understand. My daughter can't seem bring herself to sit in the same room with them either. She must get that from her mother's side.
I still respect you. ;D
-
I love beets. Most people say they hate them because they taste like dirt. That's why I like them. (Not that I'm a regular dirt eater...unless I'm at work.) ;) ::)
-
MARK, how do the polish folks cook lamb???
-
A Polish family I knew used to roast a boned-out leg of lamb to perfection. This was back in the 70's, so I can't recall the seasoning, but it was good to someone not used to the flavor of lamb. I do think it is one of those meats that used we're either raised on it or you weren't. My family never touched the stuff.
-
I love foods cooked in a dutch oven -
-
Really good beer and anything that doesn't bite me first.

-
Wings, Chili, Rib eye, FRESH seafood (lived in Alaska long enough to get spoiled)
-
There are other food groups
Well I suppose grilled, deep fried, shallow fried, stir fried, baked, roasted, broiled just about covers it, I'll even eat salad occasionally!
-
Mexican food
-
Wings, Seafood,...most foods.
-

greek food, chinese food, and a good old fashioned new england super beef 3-way... man-o-man... for those of you who dont know, it may be the best sammich ever. i've heavily considered opening a roastbeef shop around here. they make a killing back home
-
Now you've got us intrigued. :-\ What, pray tell, is in a super beef 3-way
It sounds like a gay porno flick. ::)
-
Think Arby's roast beef but.... good.. not grey mystery meat like arbys has... and their BBQ sauce blows.
3-way is slang for cheese, BBQ sauce, and mayo
this probably isnt the best picture of one but it looks like this:
http://www.roadfood.com/photos/7766.jpg
you can really only find it done properly on the north shore in MA.
oh, and a super beef always comes on a perfectly buttered/toasted onion roll
-
Interesting. All my relatives are in New Bedford and Boston, so I'm sure they know of a 3-way, but I had never heard of it. When we're together, its all about quahogs and bacalhao.
-
i dont think there is much for beef shops in New Beford but i know there is some in East Boston.
http://www.yelp.com/biz/royal-roast-beef-and-seafood-boston
but if you want to go for a little bit of a drive the BEST roast beef in New England is either going to be Billy's Roast Beef in Wakefield, MA (Disclaimer: I worked there) or Nick's Roast Beef in Beverly, MA.
Nick's is really one of the original beef shops. a good 90% of the shops in MA were started by employees of Nick's.
Next time you're up in MA try to stop in.
you can get the beef any way you want too. some people like just cheese and sauce, others cheese and mustard or just cheese and mayo.
you can get the beef rare (they slice from the thick part of the beef)
you can get it well done (a. from the skinny part of the beef that cooks faster or b. they can also throw it on the grill for a bit. throwing it on the grill creates a whole different flavor.)
-
I have two big weaknesses...pizza and cheesecake.
-
Vietnamese Spring Rolls. In N Out Burgers and chocolate shakes!
-
You mean theres something to eat besides BBQ? It would have to be Chinese. But trust me i still find ways to add a BBQ flair to it.
-
Pecan pie, & Pizza
-
Good Seafood and things grilled over an open fire. 8)
-
I'm a fan of spicy myself....throw some hot green chilis on anything and I'm lovin life. Asian foods typically support my habits.

Question number four:
Besides BBQ what are your favorite foods?
Lol, well my nick name is Big D, really that refers to the first letter of my name Don, but I also have a big gut!
That comes from food, lots of food. Mashed potatoes, sausage gravy and biscuits, meatloaf, chili, you name it, I am not real picky......
