Well, today we once again locked in this great event.
We really enjoy this event. The GC from the past 2 years at the event has gotten the Jack Draw.
We are only taking the first 30 teams, after that, we will have to evaluate space concerns.
If you are thinking about competing, get your entry in ASAP & lock your spot as well as save some $$$.
We look forward to seeing you all out there. This is always a really fun event and the entire staff there at FREEDOM RV is amazing.

Trying to request time off of work for the competition... What is the schedule of events? I see Feb 6, 7, and 8, but I was under the impression that we started our fires on Friday, and were judged on Saturday, which would leave Sunday as...? Or am I just mistaken?

Preston, Yes, you are correct. Some teams stay over until Sunday, that's why we have it listed like that.
Roll in is on Thursday or Friday, turn ins are on Saturday.

That leaves 5 more that get Guaranteed Electric and 15 more total that we can fit in.

Chicken - Noon
Ribs - 12:45 pm
Pork - 1:30 pm
Brisket - 2:15 pm

I would like to sign up as well. This will be my first competition and everything is very new and foreign to me. I downloaded the application to my phone but can't seem to open it. I'll try to get it downloaded and printed when I get home. Also right now its gonna be just me so if there's anyone else out there who might like to go maybe we could team up. I run a couple pellet grills, are there still spots with power or do I need to find an alternative power source?

There is power in site, but you will need Extention cords to get to it. I run pellet grills as well? But I run mine of an inverter just in case the main power goes down. Feel free to ask questions since this is your first event. All the teams are real helpful and will get you on the right track. See you next week. You can PM me if you have specific questions during the week.

I have Friday and Monday off in the hopes of attending this event. However, I have 3 cars, 2 running, 0 spare tires and no confidence in driving either of them 90 miles. If anyone can help, let me know, please. I live 3 blocks off of I-17 near Greenway.

Too bad we could not make it for the comp, but we are short handed at the restaurant. Actually, Ryan and I are going to Tucson for Sunday to talk to the Pacific Lutheran baseball coach and watch their game on Sunday at 10 am.
