Michael, I was asked by a newbie competitor about presentation. I speculated that the Styrofoam clamshells will be provided. Should they bring lettuce to dress their entry?

Michael, I was asked by a newbie competitor about presentation. I speculated that the Styrofoam clamshells will be provided. Should they bring lettuce to dress their entry?

Clamshells will be provided.   Each Brisket will receive 2 clam shells.  1 they will use for their "official" turn in and the other they will use for their people's choice.

As with any of our events, garnish is NOT required.  Many teams like to use it so they can get practice, but it's not a requirement.

As far as cutting the brisket and preparing the turn in boxes on site, how much do we need to bring. Do we need tables, canopes, etc, or will there be locations already set up where we can cut our meat and prepare boxes.

Gabe, we will all be indoors, inside Famous Dave's.  You do NOT need your own tables or canopies.  You are recommended to bring your own cutting board & knives.  Other than your Brisket and garnish (if you wish), that's all you need to bring.

Most knives are 3 dollars and he also does serrated and scissors.

How do we present Beans for judging? Container type?

How do we present Beans for judging? Container type?

That's up to you.  Some people go all out with their presentations, but there is not "Appearance" score other than the appearance of the beans, so it's up to you.

Don't forget to bring enough for people's choice as well.

Hey Matt, excited to see you jumping in.  You will have a blast.

As of now, we are at 21 Brisket Pre Paid and about 10 who say they will pay at the door.

We could always use more raffle prizes.  That would be great if you could do that.
