We do this almost every time we go camping...

Supper Easy Cobbler.

2 cans of pie filling.  I've used almost every flavor but apple, blue berry, peach and cherry are the 4 favs around my house.
1 cake mix
1/3 cup of brown sugar
1 OR 2 >:D sticks of butter

Dump the pie filling into the bottom of a Dutch oven.
pour the cake mix right out of the box over the top of the filling.
Sprinkle the brown sugar over the cake mix.
Slice the butter into pats (?) and distribute evenly over the cake mix/brown sugar.

Don't worry if it not even it wont really matter.  Put 12-15 briquettes under the oven and 12-20 on the top depending on how deep your pan is..if its deeper more briquettes.  I have no idea how long to cook this...when it close to being done you will smell it.  You can 1/4 turn the lid and or the oven itself for a even cook if you want (I tend to do this when ever I dutch oven cook) Its done when the cake is crusty and the filling is bubbly.

Serve over homemade hand cranked ice cream...we are camping right.

This is good.  Try this one too.

2 cans sliced peaches
1 yellow cake mix
1 12oz can cherry 7-up or Peach Fresca (either work good)
Cinnamon and sugar

Preheat your dutch oven with about 15 briquets on bottom and 18 on top.  Dump the peaches in the DO, mix the cake mix and soda together then pour over peaches and sprinkle the Cinnamon and sugar over the top.  Bake for about 30-40 minutes, like kidkurry said, "you'll smell it when it's done."  Serve with cream, ice cream or whipped topping. 8)

I've also mixed 1/2 the cake mix with the peach juice and the other 1/2 with enough soda to make a batter.
This works good with either apple or blueberry for the fruit.  You can switch to either a yellow or white cake mix for blueberry, spice, yellow, or white with the apple, try chocolate with cherry pie filling and use 7-up.

I mix my cake mix with beer to make a batter. Works well and beer is always available.
