After about six weeks of waiting my new 60 series pit is here. It is a beast to put it mildly, I don't know if I am worthy. I need some help on how to season her before our first date. O0

I bet that thing is a beast!! Take any pics yet? We love pics!!!

Best way to season her is to get a brand new bug sprayer, fill it with Peanut or Olive Oil and then spray the entire inside including grates.
They start your fire in firebox or main chamber if you got the grill adder & charcoal trays. Bring it up to 250, let it sit there for a half an hour, then bump it to 350 - 400 for another half hour, then up to 450 - 500 if you can get it that hot. You will need to use some wood. Let it burn there for a while until it burns itself out and you will be good to go.
Good Luck with it, congrats on the new purchase. Certainly look forward to seeing pictures of it and hopefully seeing it out at some of our upcoming competitions.. ;)
