Hey all... this isn't to big of a deal but does anyone on here or know anyone that knows how to weld? I have only used my fat 60 2 times and for some reason one of the bolts that hold the burner inside the firebox broke. so  now the burner is kind of popped up on one end and the charcole tray now sits directly on top of it... I have no idea how to weld but I was thinkinking it could be welded back down... does anyone else have any other ideas??? it kind of sucks because the thing is damn near new... it still cooks awsome but hey little things tend to annoy me  :)...

any advice/help??? thanks all...

I can weld but definitely not a pro. Lets see if someone else a little more experienced chimes in. I have a 135 amp wire welder at the house here.

You can't drink all day if you don't start early.

We've got several welders at the shop. Mig, tig, but can't you just replace the broken bolt?

honestly I will have to look again but I am pretty sure it was welded to the bottom of the fire box not threaded through....

What part of town do you live in? There may be several ways of fixing it, welding, installing grip-serts and new bolts, etc.

I'm in northeast Phoenix. If you were closer, I'd say swing it by and I could look at it.

That's not good Justin.  I will call Travis and see what we can do for you.  I'm sure we will at least cover any cost involved with getting it re-welded...

I don't have any plans so far this Saturday. I don't charge to look, and it hopefully won't take too much. We'll see. PM me if Saturday's ok.

It just needs to be pulled down and rewelded.  I would be happy to cover any costs you incur.  Feel free to call me anytime at 325-203-0028.

Thanks,
Travis
